I love both his 1955 rendition and the one he released in 80s - so different from each other - both wonderful.

The 1981 recording is perhaps more contemplative than 1955. Each charming in its own way.

@JoyceCarolOates Just started reading The Loser, by Thomas Bernhard, which I understand is sorta about Glenn Gould (tho he's not The Loser). Have you read/do you like this stream-of-consciousness-who-needs-paragraphs style?
