Romans 10:16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? 2 Thessalonians 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? Hebrews 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; Shall I keep going?

But belief and repentance are both commands, and commands must be obeyed. So, yes, the gospel requires obedience. A great sounding sound bite, just not biblical. The gospel has requirements and conditions, and repentance and faith are among them.

Repentance must continue past the emotional outpouring to feel the presence of God. Faith must build with the spiritual tools that Jesus sanctified in His blood. Preaching must equip the people to partake of God's love. #Jesus #evidence #sermons #biblical

Wow, that sounds an awful lot like Catholic doctrine.

Get your Bible facts straight. 1 John 4:15 โ๐If you love me,๐ you will keep my commandments. John 14:21 Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.

Thatโs because repentance of sin and belief in Christ is commanded by God, not suggested. The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent, because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead. Acts 17:30-31

He has a great delivery
