Another weekend project: GridStore Jean Cavallera and I are building simple but useful dApps that make LUKSO more accessible and easier to use. This is GridStore, an “app store” for Grid templates. You can choose a template you like and, with a single transaction, upload it to your Universal Profile and use it as your Grid. This is made possible by LSP28 The Grid, where the configurations of your Grid are stored in a JSON file on IPFS. I spoke to the CEO of an energy company and asked how long it would take to put a wind turbine farm up.. He said two years.. He said you wouldn't get any power out of it for 13 years.. My job is to communicate the facts, and that's what I do. 20 years ago, even 10 years ago, data centers in Virginia, where they started, used a lot of water and it caused prices to go up when it was attached to the grid. Well, you cannot attach the grid anymore. The Utah project contemplates bringing new power to Utah. All of the power will be created from nat gas pipeline that runs through there, and will give back to the community. It will generate enough power that some percentage of it will go back to the grid. If you want China to overtake our ability to develop cutting edge technology, you stop data centers. So that's the cause and effect of it all. If you want China to lead, take over our, let's call it democracy, our free speech, and the way we live with technology, just stop building data centers. It's that simple.

A really lovely GRID VIEW is coming to Basecamp 5 shortly. We had a grid view in 4, but it wasn't any good and I didn't want to drag it into 5. Had we done that, we'd have called it done and never revisited. By intentionally leaving it out, we allowed pressure to build to bring it back. And with no legacy to battle or revamp, we were able to return to the drawing board and make something so much better, from scratch. Coming to a Basecamp near you. Soon.

And the reason is that on the moon, you can take advantage of the low gravity, it's about 1/6 the gravity, and the complete lack of an atmosphere, meaning that it's frictionless to move material off of the moon and very low energy to move it off of the moon. In fact, the design for moving material off of the moon is to use what's called a mass driver, which is like a train track, like a rail, like an electric rail. And you could put a package on that rail and use electricity to accelerate that package to 100 G-Force, shoot it back to the earth, or theoretically shoot it to Mars, and it will go to the exact point on the Earth you want it to go to, reenter the atmosphere, and land with a simple parachute where you want it to go. So we could run continuous mining, continuous manufacturing processes on the moon at a fraction of the cost of what it would take to do it here on Earth.”$

I have created this OS, based on Alpine Linux, & it is stable enough to use (i made the file manager, etc) It's all in C, and as you can tell on file view, the terminal/shell runs simultaneously with the windows on a grid, theyre not box characters they're vectors on the grid
