That 'hippopotamus' from Kashmir—who hails from a tribal community in Jharkhand—is named Kanchana. In the video, she is seen throwing her weight around by claiming she pays taxes, yet it turns out she likely doesn't pay any taxes at all. She earns a handsome rental income, and living off that is what has turned her into a 'hippopotamus'. I am grateful to the Colonel who stepped in to reason with this insolent woman; given the powers the Army holds in Kashmir, he could have simply hauled this 'hippopotamus'—vehicle and all—away, and no one would have ever known where she ended up. This is a matter of national security and Army morale. The government must immediately register an FIR against her and take action under charges related to inciting people in Kashmir, undermining Army morale, making false claims, and tarnishing the image of Kashmir and the Indian Army on an international level. Furthermore, all videos related to this incident should be removed from social media. Such people have rendered the government ineffective.
