15-Year-Old Boy Fatally Shot During Fight at Queens Basketball Court A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed Thursday evening during a violent melee at Roy Wilkins Park in St. Albans, Queens, police said. The incident began around 6:15 p.m. when a group of teenagers fighting on a basketball court turned physical, during which the victim, identified as Jaden Pierre, was attacked and then struck by a single gunshot to the upper chest. Witnesses said they heard a shot and rushed to the scene, where the teen was found wounded on the ground. He was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Police say video shows the suspected shooter fleeing in a gray sweatsuit, and no arrests have been made as detectives continue to investigate and gather evidence from the park. VIA: Eyewitness News

The famous single-take scene from Kidding (2018) follows Riki Lindhome as her life and apartment change over several years in one unbroken shot. No CGI or digital cuts were used. More than 50 crew members transformed the set live as the camera turned away, while Lindhome changed costumes and body doubles handled some transitions. Jim Carrey’s Mr. Pickles played on the TV to mark the passage of time, and the sequence ended with a live dog. After a full day of rehearsal, the 1-minute-42-second shot was captured in just 3 takes.

So if we call one man's life a battle, this battle-istic attitude, uh, there's things in life that fight with us, like an illness or anything in life that threatens us, or for instance, an internal conflict. Well, I almost saw the scene as a materialization of those things that fight with us and torture us in life. And the fatigue and loneliness that comes from this lifelong battle, with these things that torture us. I saw it as a metaphor in that way. It was chaos as groups of learners fought amongst each other and in the scuffle three learners were stabbed and rushed to hospital. *Leiden, Delft: Shot were fired last night in Koonap street, Leiden. Peter Jackson said that when shooting one of the final scenes in Return of the King, The Grey Havens, they shot for a whole day with everyone performing outstandingly with real emotion and real tears but due to the regular camera-man focus puller being off sick that day, they used a stand in with less experience. Jackson realised 2 days later with horror that nearly every shot was out of focus so they had reshoot everything again.
