The Hangover (2009) would likely be remembered as a modern comedy classic if it had stayed a one-and-done. The sequels didn’t ruin the jokes, they just softened how sharp, nasty, and perfectly timed that first film really was.

One interesting tidbit I found from this conversation which revolves around the classic Kushi is how an actor can change the total scene when it comes to comedy For example, the comedy in the scene from First Day First Show didn’t work but if an actor like Naveen Polishetty delivers the same line - it would work. It reflects how a rare potential Naveen is - he can make any comedy scene work. Not everyone is as gifted as him

K: i want to say one more thing, the day that we filmed freshy night 2025 and 2026, we filmed it on the same day. and they prepared the homework really well. The shoot was divided into half a day to the other half of a day, it was the beginning and the ending. K: if they didn’t read the script until the end or if they didn’t understand the scripts till the end, this will not be able to occurred, they supported each other really well. when they were filming, each are on the opposite sides, if tee was filming on this side and por would stand on the stage so that they can act together, every time. when por was filming, tee would also sit there act along every time as well. it was really great.

Look at this photo and tell me again why late-night TV is dying. This isn’t a comedy show staff… it looks like a federal agency. All those people, all that money, all that production… and somehow the punchline is still just “Trump bad.” Reports say The Late Show cost over $100 million a year to produce and was losing tens of millions annually. Maybe America didn’t stop liking comedy. Maybe America just got tired of paying for a giant, overstaffed TDS support group pretending to be entertainment. The jokes got stale. The audience got smaller. The budget stayed insane. And now they’re shocked it didn’t work? Really?

I had no idea The Mummy (1999) had deleted scenes, and I definitely did not know one of them had the mummies bursting up from underneath the sand. They never did that in the final movie. If that stayed in, it would have absolutely rattled me as a kid!
