All 3 years don’t have to be guaranteed. So just do that! And that way both sides are protected! If he doesn’t work in his role, Lakers can let him go and have the space to sign someone else. If he balls out, he can reenter the market and get his bag. And that could still be from the Lakers because they would have his bird rights!

Been thinking about this but I’m all the way out on Kuminga. He’s showing him and his camp are still the toxic they were in gsw. If the lakers do the sign and trade and guarantee him 3 years that’s gonna become untradable. He has no value across the league.
