That 13-mile “bulge” on each side works like a stabilizing flywheel, helping keep the planet’s axis steady. Skeptics call the repeating numerical patterns coincidence, but the consistency is hard to ignore. Over and over, the geometry of the Earth echoes the same proportional template, hinting at something deeper woven into the structure of the planet itself.

A Martian Eclipse What's that passing in front of the Sun? It looks like a moon, but it can't be Earth's Moon, because it isn't round. It's the Martian moon Phobos. The featured video was taken from the surface of Mars in 2022 by the Perseverance rover. Phobos, at 11.5 kilometers across, is 150 times smaller than Luna (our moon) in diameter, but also 50 times closer to its parent planet. In fact, Phobos is so close to Mars that it is expected to break up and crash into Mars within the next 50 million years. In the near term, the low orbit of Phobos results in more rapid solar eclipses than seen from Earth. The featured video is shown in real time -- the transit really took about 40 seconds, as shown. The videographer -- the robotic rover Perseverance (Percy) -- continues to explore Jezero Crater on Mars, searching not only for clues to the watery history of the now dry world, but evidence of ancient microbial life. NOAA have not updated the publicly available magnetic pole data [1] since 2020. The December 2023 State of the Geomagnetic Field report [2] does, however, contain some clues as to how things are progressing: "Since 2020, the north magnetic dip pole has moved at an average speed of 41 km/yr [~36.8° per century], and the south magnetic dip pole at 9 km/yr [~8.1° per century]. Neither underwent any noticeable change in direction. /// The South Atlantic Anomaly, where the geomagnetic field intensity is lowest, has continued to deepen (by about 25 nT at surface level) and move westward (its center moved by about 20 km at surface level) in the past year. /// In the SAA the intensity of the field is about one-third of that near the magnetic poles." By this account, the current geomagnetic excursion continues unabated. [1] [2]

What would it look like to fly past Triton, the largest moon of planet Neptune? Only one spacecraft has ever done this -- and the images of this dramatic encounter have been gathered into a video. In 1989, the Voyager 2 robotic spacecraft shot through the Neptune system with cameras blazing. Triton is slightly smaller than Earth's Moon but has ice volcanoes and a surface rich in frozen nitrogen. The first sequence in the video shows Voyager's approach to Triton, which, with the exception of an overall false green tint, appears in approximately true color. The mysterious cantaloupe terrain seen under the spacecraft soon changed from light to dark, with the terminator of night crossing underneath. After closest approach, Voyager pivoted to see the departing moon, now visible as a diminishing crescent. Fun stuff.. Antarctica is 6,660 to 6,666 miles long from the back side of the plate boundary where the volcano is imaged..... out to the tip on the opposite side of the plate... As if that wasn't strange enough, the whole plate is in the shape of a 5 sided pentagon starfort bastion fort shape! You pass directly over the South pole when measuring by the way!

In the future, Polaris will no longer be the pole star. The northern Pole Star remains virtually motionless in the sky, making it ideal for navigation—it always points north. However, the polarity of Polaris changes over time due to the Earth's movement, known as precession. Different stars become "polar" at different times in history. After 2100, our current North Star will begin to gradually move away from its northernmost point in the sky, and by 4000, its place will be taken by the star Alrai (Gamma Cephei).

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman says the primary objective of the Artemis II’s trip around the moon is “to gather data from the ECLSS system, the life support system on the Orion spacecraft,” which will be used in future missions. “Learning as much as we can about Orion is critically important because Artemis III is a year away,” he says. “That's where we're going to test the same spacecraft with our lunar landers. Followed up in 2028 by Artemis IV, where we're going to use this spacecraft, transfer crew to the landers, and put American astronauts back on the surface of the moon.”

#ISROfixYourPR NISAR is the only satellite for which PR has been done for only 1/3rd of the satellite! 🤡 Look at this awesome video by NASA showing the journey of their S-band radar and the radar reflector boom+antenna to India. The L-band radar + the entire rest of the spacecraft is made by ISRO, and the launch service is also provided by ISRO, but you wouldn't know that unless NASA themselves tell you about it, cuz ISRO doesn't care 🤡
