The crazy part is these agents were created by EVERY EMPLOYEE at our company... sales reps, marketers, customer support, product, eng. Literally EVERYONE. BUT I'm most surprised by the adoption and value that MANAGERS are getting from agents. I used to think that every IC would become a manager of agents. Now I think that managers will very likely manage WAY more agents than their ICs combined. And managers' agents will manage their ICs' agents - overseeing them for human-in-the-loop interactions. When creating agents, we use 100% context from all of your activity, files edited, tasks and projects worked on, hierarchy, skills, and role information. We build a user-based context model to make agents as relatable as possible to the specific human that we're building for. This means they truly understand the nuances of the work and what "great" looks like - because great is very much in the eye of the beholder. Great is by definition, subjective. This is also why the human ENGAGEMENT loops are SO vital to agent value. The iteration AFTER the agent is onboarded is where the MAGIC happens. This is just like a manager managing an IC in real life... you're giving feedback. In this case, though, agents learn INSTANTLY, and they retain the knowledge perfectly and indefinitely. Even though I've been pushing AI for years now to everyone in our company, this was the first time we had truly end-to-end AI adoption and retention. This kind of AI adoption is wild. What does it actually mean to be AI native? There was no clear guide on the internet for how to become AI native so we built the definitive one (60 min masterclass): 1. An AI native org has 3 layers: people for strategy and taste, agents for execution, and a shared context layer that makes the entire company readable to agents. 2. AI eats the middle of your work. You used to spend 80% of your day on execution. Now agents do that. Your job is the bookends: deciding what to do and judging whether it's good enough. 3. Everyone is a manager now. Your output is the output of your agents. If your agents produce garbage, that's on you. You set them up wrong. 4. Using ChatGPT doesn't make you AI native. That's like having a website and calling yourself a tech company lol. 5. No AI native org without AI native people. Most companies skip straight to the tools. That's why it fails. If your people don't understand how to manage agents, the tech doesn't matter. 6. Making your company "readable" to agents is the real work. Google’s new Agent2Agent protocol is a key step toward a future of AI Agent interoperability. No single tool has all the data a user or business needs for most workflows, so we need Agents to be able to talk to each other. Salesforce will have AI Agents that understand the inner workings of CRM, Workday will have AI Agents that understand HR workflows, Box has AI Agents that understand content and documents, and so on. It’s easy to conceive of a world where we have tens of thousands of these tool Agents and then billions or trillions of customized Agents that are extensions of those. So openness becomes key. Workflows need data from multiple systems to complete the task — like a sales report that needs documents and CRM data or an HR task that needs HR policies and employee details — and that’s where A2A comes in. This protocol gives AI Agent providers a way of talking to each other and simplifying the way that Agents communicate, understand each other’s capabilities, and so on. The new ChatGPT agents have access to any of the tools and data you want to work with, with complete coding and tool use available to them. Here's an example of a custom sales assistant agent uses Box as a knowledge source for accessing enterprise content securely to answer questions and generate new content on the fly. The workflows can obviously vastly far more complex as the agent can use any of the tools within Box available via MCP and CLI. This precisely what agents will start to look like for knowledge work. You'll be able to spin them up in the foreground or background to help augment work. Big opportunity right now for headless platforms, and for all the new builders and designers of these agents in the enterprise.

They will do the exact opposite: create a massive new wave of software demand. at NVIDIA GTC Taipei 2026 "Click and type. We now replace that with explaining to the AI what we want, our intent, and the AI generates the code or uses tools to produce the necessary output. This is how computers are going to work in the future. This is Agentic AI. For two years, we've been building toward this, and now it has arrived. One of the big breakthroughs, of course, is tool use. A lot of people have said, “Jensen, AI is coming. Agentic AI is coming. Therefore, all the software companies are going to go out of business.” This is exactly the opposite. Because there are going to be so many agents, the world is no longer limited by the number of people. Therefore, those agents are going to use more tools than ever. When you could only give AI small bits of work, then the speed of response mattered a ton. The rate at which you can go back and forth with AI in real-time was the determining factor on how useful it is. But as AI agents can perform more complex and useful tasks in parallel behind the scenes, you can much more easily afford to wait longer for work to get done assuming it’s valuable. Now the focus becomes more on how you review and orchestrate the agents’ work. And the main factor is just how useful and usable is the output that the agent came back with.

Proactive AI Agents Today’s AI products are reactive. You give the model a prompt, it responds with an answer. These are useful, but I’m excited about products that take this further and shift the paradigm from “ask → answer” to “observe → act." These agents will continuously monitor context in the background across all of your connected tools and data, predict what matters, and take action before being asked to do so – much like a human does. So instead of you prompting the model, the model will start prompting you. Examples here could include agents that remind you about tasks you forgot to complete, resolve customer issues before support tickets are filed, or debug and ship code fixes automatically. This shift represents a new paradigm where AI products behave more like humans and less like tools. We’re already starting to see this dynamic with products like OpenClaw, Poke, and more - and we’ve only scratched the surface of capabilities here. Proactive AI Agents Today’s AI products are reactive. You give the model a prompt, it responds with an answer. These are useful, but I’m excited about products that take this further and shift the paradigm from “ask → answer” to “observe → act." These agents will continuously monitor context in the background across all of your connected tools and data, predict what matters, and take action before being asked to do so – much like a human does. So instead of you prompting the model, the model will start prompting you. Examples here could include agents that remind you about tasks you forgot to complete, resolve customer issues before support tickets are filed, or debug and ship code fixes automatically. This shift represents a new paradigm where AI products behave more like humans and less like tools. We’re already starting to see this dynamic with products like OpenClaw, Poke, and more - and we’ve only scratched the surface of capabilities here. We're only year 3 of a decade (if not multi-decades) long transformation of work. 3 years ago we bet on building an horizontal platform for work with agents, a chance to invent a new operating system for companies, from scratch, with AI as a fundamental premise. Many people considered us crazy for going after that, praising verticalized AI products as the winning strategy. But here's the thing: the time horizon of tasks successfully handled by agents has been predictively increasing form minutes to hours and will in all likelihood reach the equivalent of days and weeks of human work equivalent in the coming quarters. This is were verticalized and/or single-player AI falls short. Single-player tools, one person, one agent, confined to your machine is the wrong architecture for what's coming. We're shifting from using AI to produce things, to managing fleets of agents that do the producing. 3 years ago I wrote[1]: "ChatGPT is the Pong of LLMs. [...] Imagine, one day we'll get the DOOM, Civ, Red Alert, and Counter Strike of LLMs. Let alone multiplayer modes." Weeks long tasks in companies are inherently collaborative and mechanically spanning multiple teams. The new bottleneck in harnessing agents within organizations is coordination: multiple humans and multiple agents need to work together, with shared context, shared tools, shared goals. Agents that can hand work off to other agents or surface decisions to the right person at the right time. Humans who can review, steer, and step in without losing the thread. Teams that can run parallel workstreams and actually stay aligned. This is Multiplayer AI, and that's what we've been building at Dust.
