The Homeless Industrial Complex has had a meltdown regarding Trump’s executive order on homelessness. This is not surprising, but also sad. 90% of the homeless population are drug addicts and our federal government is relocating significant resources to help

them recover. This will end up saving several thousand lives. How could they have a problem with that? Maybe it’s because this will disrupt their multi billion dollar industry. And/or fear of admitting your enemy did something good. It’s probably both. Photos by @tarafaul503

I’ve been waiting for this! Knowing Vance family history and Trumps family history I knew they’d do something to actually help addicts and not just leave them to die.

They try to say mandatory treatment doesn’t work. That is a blatant lie!! My two best childhood friends wouldn’t be functioning members of society without being forced into treatment by the courts a decade ago.

Making healthy choices is impossible when the mind is altered with dangerous chemicals. No matter how badly a person wants change. Thank you for hearing them and for giving them a voice.

Many are convinced that the compassionate thing to do is to give homeless people stuff. This is enabling, helping people continue their addiction. It’s not based in compassion, but in pity. Acting on pity makes people feel virtuous. They won’t give it up easily.

Time to end money laundering and bring actual care for those on the streets. This will also open up opportunities to make honorable service jobs to care for our fellow men and women
