It would be great to see standardised reusable packaging for this from the get go @SimonHarrisTD @NormaFoleyTD1 @EamonRyan how can a school stand over their green flag growing out 1000’s of reusable containers a week!

I would question the meat the children are being served here. We know halal meat is being served across UK schools as part of their meals program. If the meat in the Irish school meals is halal I would be opting them out of the program.

Can the Government confirm that no Irish Christian children will be consuming halal food especially halal meat as part of this programme? To any parent unaware of the barbaric practice of halal slaughter of animals in Ireland they need to do their research.

A sandwich would be 100% better - it looks junk - very unhealthy food - 🤢

Who has the contract to supply the food?

When I was small (1950s) we got milk and sandwiches every day in school. Friday was jam sandwiches.

We have to recycle our plastic bottles in machines that don’t work pay charge on your bill for a can u don’t get to recycle The children are getting lunches in non recyclable containers 😱 Where are the greens 🥬 The world is not well
