Hezbollah fighters followed them, correctly analyzed the route they would take, planted an explosive device, and activated it while watching the force. Four fighters were injured. An exact replica of the guerrilla warfare that Hezbollah waged against the IDF in southern Lebanon during the security zone years, 1985-2000. Every day we receive several reminders that the new security zone cannot provide protection for the residents of the north, neither from rockets nor from drones, and it does not even, as was stated, keep them out of range of anti-tank missiles. About ten days ago, a Hezbollah anti-tank missile hit an IDF position on the Hammis ridge - 300 meters from Metula. Whoever fired it could just as easily have hit a house in the Galilee settlement. Some commentators say that "the IDF's hands are tied" because of the "ceasefire" imposed by the Americans. Well, even if all the IDF's wards were open - the truth is that the IDF has no targets whose destruction would stop the fighting. He added that Israel will "accelerate the demolition of houses in South Lebanon villages, to thwart threats to Israeli communities, in accordance with the Beit Hanun and Rafah models in Gaza."

The IDF publishes footage showing an airstrike on a Hezbollah gunman amid a clash with troops in southern Lebanon overnight. Two soldiers of the Paratroopers Brigade were moderately injured during the exchange of fire, the military said earlier. According to the IDF, the paratroopers had raided several Hezbollah sites in southern Lebanon, and at one building they encountered several Hezbollah operatives. The paratroopers directed an Israeli Air Force drone which struck and killed at least two of the gunmen. The IDF says the troops later located weapons used by the operatives.
