Thank you for your efforts, sir. And some unscrupulous elements will build houses on the path of the water body that can cause harm to the whole state and expect government not to react.

During recent disasters, Harris County’s new investments in flood control projects have stood up to the test. But we need to maintain those channels, bayous, and detention basins (and the older projects, as well), so they function properly. I hope voters will support our item on the ballot this November so our Flood Control District has the funding not just to build flood infrastructure but also to maintain it.

Dear Lagosians, I am pleased to announce the full reopening of the Third Mainland Bridge after extended repair works have been completed to ensure its safety and efficiency for all residents. Your patience and resilience during this period have been paramount in maintaining our city's economic momentum. I extend my deepest gratitude to HE President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Honourable Minister of Works, David Umahi for their expedited focus and attention to detail on the Third Mainland Bridge project. Their commitment has significantly contributed to the timely and quality completion of these necessary improvements. My thanks also go to the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation for their effective traffic management throughout this period. Their dedication has minimized disruptions and maintained flow, demonstrating our collective strength and ability to overcome challenges. As we embrace the smoother journeys that the newly renovated bridge provides, it also calls for a renewed emphasis on road safety. Our shared commitment to safety ensures not only our wellbeing but also the wellbeing of other road users. Thank you, Lagosians, for your unwavering support.

The operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps today monitored the Agege Pen Cinema Bridge and adjacent railway track—a clear statement to our commitment to environmental sustainability. Our dedicated teams have been actively patrolling this corridor, and we have successfully apprehended environmental offenders constituting environmental nuisance in the area. These offenders were duly tried and have now been sentenced to community service, reinforcing our zero-tolerance policy for any actions that compromise our shared environment. Together, we are ensuring that every corner of Lagos, including key infrastructures like Agege Pen Cinema Bridge, remains a model of sustainability and order. #CleanerLagos #SustainableCity #ZeroTolerance

Zelensky: This is an iPad with software that lets us control our security in real time. It lets us see the front line in Ukraine and even every enemy killed, with video proof. Right now, 90% of Russian losses on the front are caused by our drones. The iPad also shows every strike in our skies, our sea area, and our long-range strikes against Russia. It gives us real-time control over people’s safety, as well as our infrastructure and energy sector. The system lets us analyze each attack and our defense response as a whole in real time. We see what is happening in the sky and what resources are being used to protect us. It is a clear way to keep control and to adapt to real-time situations.

This afternoon, we commenced the cleaning of McGregor Channel in Obalende as part of our ongoing efforts to ensure a flood-free Lagos. Keeping our drainage channels clear is crucial as we prepare for the rainy season. A clean and efficient drainage system protects lives, property, and infrastructure. I urge all residents to desist from indiscriminate waste disposal and take ownership of their environment. A cleaner Lagos is a collective responsibility! #CleanerLagos

"We're being called chief security officers of our respective states; however, the command and control structure is not under the governors. I am happy with the recent development about state police because it allows us to keep to our responsibilities and for our people to also hold us accountable as far as the security situation is concerned in our respective states. I strongly believe that, by the time we have state police, it will go a long way in solving a lot of the challenges, and we can then bear our names as proper chief security officers of our respective states." — Dauda Lawal, Zamfara governor

Our hybrid-electric aircraft has reached a major milestone. Vertical takeoff, transition onto the wing, and sustained cruise. This aircraft has the potential to be more efficient than a helicopter and to cruise faster. It shares an airframe, avionics, and flight control system with our all-electric air taxi, demonstrating how different powertrains can be integrated into one VTOL platform. As we plan to welcome FAA pilots into our all-electric VTOL, this milestone underscores the rapid pace of development and the adaptability of our platform to meet evolving market demand.

In 1996, I laid the foundation stone for the Veligonda Project with a vision for our state. Today, as we finally dedicate this life-changing project to the people of Andhra Pradesh, a 30-year-old personal commitment stands fulfilled. With this milestone, I want to reiterate my unshakeable commitment to our youth: I don’t work for the NEXT ELECTIONS, but for our NEXT GENERATION! And with this same ideology, our NDA government is working towards a single goal, to bring real change & transform lives forever! #VeligondaProject

The anniversary of the Chornobyl disaster is the right day to remind everyone in the world how fragile our security is. And even more so when the threat of a radiation catastrophe at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, artificially created by 🇷🇺, has been looming every day and every minute for more than a year already. Only 🇺🇦 full control over the #ZNPP can restore full security not only for our country, but also for the entire Europe and the whole world. Radiation does not recognize state borders, just like 🇷🇺. And only full compliance with the rules can guarantee safety.

The decision by the United States Senate to continue the support for our country and our warriors has been anticipated not only by us, but also by many other nations, particularly those in Europe. The world is looking for American leadership to remain steadfast, help protect lives, and preserve freedom. This truly contributes to confidence and motivation.

Look at Siang river. Muddy, and coming to us from beyond our borders. Look at the tributary rising from our own land, clean and clear. There is a lesson in this contrast. We may not have control over what the Siang brings to us from upstream. But we do have control over what we do on our side. We must prepare, strengthen and build resilience, so that what we cannot control does not overwhelm us.

I am pleased to share that the reconstruction of Oshodi Street has reached another important milestone with the ongoing laying of paving stones. Every phase of this project brings us closer to delivering a road that is safer, more durable, flood-resilient, and better suited to meet the needs of our growing community. Through regular site inspections, I remain committed to ensuring that every aspect of this project meets the highest standards of quality and is delivered within the approved timeline. Our goal is not just to build roads, but to build lasting infrastructure that improves the daily lives of our people. I sincerely appreciate the patience, understanding, and cooperation of our residents, business owners, and motorists throughout this period. The temporary inconvenience will soon give way to a modern road network that we can all be proud of. Together, we will continue to build a Lagos Island East that is safer, stronger, and more prosperous.
