We are continuing to work with our American partners at all levels to ensure that the Ukraine aid package is passed by the US Senate on time. Both the President’s Office and our diplomats are actively working to ensure a positive political outcome of the swift approval, as well as a positive outcome of the package itself, which should include the items that our warriors on the front lines expect so much. The time between political decisions and actual damage to the enemy on the front lines, between the package's approval and our warriors' strengthening, must be as short as possible. This strength must be the one capable of truly changing the situation on the frontlines. Frontline air defense is just as important as protection for our cities and villages. Our long-range capabilities, artillery, and ability to expand our area of control are all important. Every day is important now, in terms of communication, politics, and logistics. And I am grateful to all of our friends in the United States, as well as our partners around the world, who see common opportunities and tasks in the same way that we do in Ukraine. Together, we must stop Russian terror by all means, limit Russia's terror potential, and force Putin to admit the obvious: this war will yield no results for him.

We are fighting against death – the death that Russia is bringing to our land. We must not allow Russia to blur reality or mislead the world. Moscow must be forced into diplomacy. We need a ceasefire. We need real peace. We need real security. We must use every method available to achieve this – our front line and our defense, our production and technology, our work to build a real security architecture. We must be effective in all of it. Last night, the Russians launched a massive strike on Odesa. There was no military purpose whatsoever – this was pure terror against ordinary civilian life. Over 60 drones were used in the strike on the city. Sadly, there is extensive damage. Among the sites hit were a maternity hospital, ordinary residential buildings, businesses, as well as the port and critical infrastructure. Our services continue to work on the ground wherever needed, providing assistance. Tragically, as of now, one person has been reported killed. My condolences to their family and loved ones. More than ten people have been wounded, including a child. There were also strikes overnight in the Poltava and Dnipro regions. Each such strike proves that Russia has no intention of ending this war. That is why any easing of pressure on it is dangerous. And coordinated efforts to protect people and lives will help us, help our country’s defense and our diplomacy. I thank all our partners who are working with us and supporting our people. We are working with everyone to give our country more strength and more capacity to protect life in Ukraine every day and every night: our cities and villages, our infrastructure. We need about 1,000 interceptors a day, and we can supply at least another 1,000 a day to our allies. Second, we know how to build radar and acoustic coverage to respond to how “shaheds” and other drones approach. Third, we have software that allows radars to keep working even under electronic warfare jamming. In real time, we analyze enemy frequencies and respond to them. And because of this system, we understand how effective our defense is against almost every attack drone, and we can move our positions and air defense to get better results.
