Just had FSD v14.1 do the most awesome unprotected left on a major street. So confident and was incredible. Waited for traffic to stop on the other side, once it had a gap and could see, it went. Super quick reaction time and decision making. Here’s the dashcam footage.

First safety intervention I’ve had to make on FSD v14 in about 1300 miles. During an unprotected left, FSD began the turn but hesitated and paused mid lane. I pressed the accelerator to clear before an oncoming vehicle would have had to stop. Unprotected left turns are still not fully solved and are one of the few situations that still get my heart rate up.

I’ve noticed a new behavior in FSD version 14.2.2.2: when approaching an intersection from a single dedicated left-turn lane, the car occasionally completes the turn into the second lane from the left rather than the leftmost lane, which is what most drivers typically do. Interestingly it is legal to do so in California.

"20% faster reaction time" seems like an understatement FSD 14.3 reacts SO quickly that the visualizations can't even keep up... watch as the path planner reacts to the yellow light before the screen even shows it

To blend into LA traffic, FSD needs better unprotected left behavior. When already in the intersection behind a lead car, you are expected to close the gap and clear the turn together once opposing traffic stops, even if the light turns red. That is legal, normal, and how traffic flows. FSD still freezes here. Tesla AI

So apparently Brussels locals instantly know when you’re NOT driving 😄 FSD awareness is high! This kind gentleman waves me through… but he didn’t spot his colleague waiting on the left to cross. FSD caught everything perfectly. I indicated to him “I’m not the one driving” he immediately understood and smiled. The awareness of FSD is impressive, and so is the positive reaction from people! Great moment for Full Self-Driving! #FSD #Tesla #Brussels

FSD prevented a wreck. My MYP was full of people and we were heading to our next stop. The blinker was on for the upcoming turn lane. A red car pulled out in front of us and stopped. FSD kept us safe. I grabbed the wheel after FSD completely stopped out of instinct.
