Since v14, FSD has this weird obsession with moving from the inner lane to the outer lane during a left turn. For me, it happens on every two-lane left turn. And it does it in a very jerky, dangerous way — even if it means cutting in front of another car, FSD will still insist on doing it. Is this because FSD is more afraid of hitting the curb at the corner than of getting rear-ended by someone else? This really feels like a serious bug to me. I’m not sure whether it’s because the model is overfitted to avoid curbs during turns, or because it was trained to always end up in the rightmost lane after a left turn. I honestly don’t know, but I really hope this gets fixed soon.

With all due respect sir, It is clear that the left most lane, where a motorcycle is seen in the video from the design unveiling ceremony, is not there in the actual bridge. In the actual bridge, this lane is probably narrower than planned, leading to its conversion into a walkway. May be this is what the Speaker was talking about ? 🤷🏻‍♀️

WOW v14.3.2 is very decisive and is able to execute with great confidence. Big fan. That said, in my first drive it messed up *spectacularly* twice in <15 miles of suburban driving. In one instance, it swerved out of its through lane of traffic into a lane that was ending, right as it was ending. It was not trying to overtake any vehicles, it just swerved over violently. ugh The other, in the video below, it did not consider that the left lane was turn-only, and tried to use it overtake other vehicles while their light was red. (this intersection begins with left turn green and through-lanes red) It is still very slow to merge into the proper lane in time for a turn, and ended up cutting off a large truck to make its turn. Could it have completed its maneuvers and continued without intervention? Yes. Would it be safe or legal to do so? No. Plenty of work left to do on FSD.

This driver is trying to ma a left turn and the car on the opposite side stops and makes a path for them to turn. As the car starts to turn, an electric bike in the bike lane comes speeding down and well, as you can see, smashes into the car and flips over the front. Luckily he gets up and is walking. He could have been seriously injured. To me, this is quite literally why they say you’re not supposed to just stop in the middle of a street to let someone turn. Some are saying it’s the red car’s fault for stopping and letting the driver turn. Others are saying in their state, an electric bike is like a motorcycle and has to obey the traffic laws. Who is at fault? Do you think the electric bike should have been in the bike lane traveling that fast? The red car for letting the car turn left when it can’t see, or is it the drivers responsibility to make sure all is clear before proceeding?

Just because the left lane is free, avoid going into it if you are planning to make a right turn at the signal. That is very bad driving. That vehicle blocked the FREE left for many ppl. Solution: Please form a Q in the right lane. (And also captured a biker jumping the red light...) #Roadsafety

To blend into LA traffic, FSD needs better unprotected left behavior. When already in the intersection behind a lead car, you are expected to close the gap and clear the turn together once opposing traffic stops, even if the light turns red. That is legal, normal, and how traffic flows. FSD still freezes here. Tesla AI

Seeing a 🚴‍♀️ in a narrow bicycle lane, FSD Beta moves my Tesla to the far left of the lane to create a safe gap. Then move back to the center after leaving the 🚴‍♀️ behind. Trolls keep saying FSD Beta is unsafe &amp; may run over ppl. In reality, it’s extremely safe &amp; overly cautious.
