The Israel Defense Force has announced that Overnight, Elements of the 162nd Division also known as the Steel Formation entered the Gaza Strip and began Anti-Terror Operations against Hamas Targets in the Jabalia Area of Northern Gaza; with Combat Teams of the 401st and 460th Brigades having now Encircled the City. Both before and during the Operation, the Israeli Air Force as well as Artillery carried out Intense Strikes against Hamas Military Positions in and around Jabalia. The Operation will continue as long as is deemed necessary to Destroy and Eliminate the Terrorist Infrastructure throughout the Region.
