I am a senior project manager at an engineering firm. We had our office cleaning service not show up for a while so we emptied our own trash cans. I would have scrubbed the toilets too if it needed to be done.

I have been asked to do things not part of my main job description. I absolutely do it as A: I like a steady paycheck, B: most contracts have an etc clause that are within limits of your normal job functions.
