On this date in 1987 U2 released "The Joshua Tree", an album that would launch them into superstar status in the music world. The album won the Grammy for "Album of the Year" (at the 1988 ceremony). #80s #nostalgia

U2 - I Still Haven _t Found What I_m Looking For - The classic "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For," released by U2 in 1987 on the album The Joshua Tree, is actually a gospel song disguised as rock. The lyrics explore the spiritual quest, faith, and the constant human dissatisfaction with a greater meaning. Is U2 among your 5 favorite bands?

U2 in 2026 As the new year dawns, 2026 will mark an extraordinary milestone: U2's 50th anniversary as the longest-running band in world history with the same original lineup—Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr., together for half a century since 1976. A new U2 album also dawns, U2's first in almost a decade, due in 2026. Can U2 defy gravity after all this time? Can U2 rise up on wings like eagles? Can U2 be born again? Like a Phoenix rising from a holy tree? From “New Year's Day” to The Joshua Tree to their ongoing quest for renewal and grace, biblical allusions abound. Follow Bono’s Bible for more.
