Is it possible that AJ Brown is washed and that's why his numbers are down? 🏈 His average yards of separation per target is down by nearly a half yard this season, compared to last year. 🏈 His 1.7 yards of separation is a career worst. 🏈 We've seen him win on go balls with ease before, but this year, he's struggling to separate and get open. On Sunday Night Football, he struggled to beat Rock Ya-Sin 1v1. 🏈 AJ has talked about how last year he had to get his knee drained often and he's had hamstring problems the last two seasons. In 2014, TCU and Baylor played one of the craziest games of the CFP era and one of the greatest games in College Football history. The Top 10 showdown in Waco, TX between the Horned Frogs and the Bears saw 119 combined points, 14 combined touchdowns including a pick six and a 94-yard kickoff return, 1,267 total yards, and a 21-point 4th quarter comeback. Baylor trailed by double digits on multiple different occasions, including by scores of 14-0, 21-10, 44-30, and even 58-37. The Bears trailed by 21 points with 10:40 left in the game before rattling off 24 unanswered to win on a walk-off field goal as time expired. The game had massive ramifications for both teams of course, but also for CFB as a whole. TCU’s loss ultimately kept them from making the CFP that season, allowing Ohio State to sneak in as the 4-seed and eventually win the national title. Had TCU won this game (or if the Big 12 decided to hold a conference championship), CFB might look significantly different today in terms of where the TCU/Baylor programs are, how the Big 12 is perceived, and may have even prevented some conference realignment decisions if OSU/the Big Ten didn’t win the title in 2014, and it instead went to Alabama/Oregon and the PAC-12/TCU and the Big 12. If TCU got into the CFP in 2014 instead of OSU, the B1G would’ve had a 21-year natty drought from OSU’s in 2002 to Michigan’s in 2023. This game was not only an entertaining back-and-forth shootout, but also had one of the most influential outcomes in recent CFB history.

A man by the name of Jonathan Maurice Pigford of Wilmington, NC went viral yesterday for posting a video of his elderly neighbor, who clearly has some sort of dementia or Alzheimer’s, being outside in the cold with only a bright orange t-shirt and a HEAVILY soiled adult diaper on. The elderly gentleman got out of the house and came straight to Jonathan’s home. It is unknown exactly how long he was outside like that. Jonathan then guides the elderly man back home. And that’s when all hell breaks loose. The “Caregiver” then appeared and forcefully made the elderly man turn around and walk back down the street after Johnathan had kindly taken him home. The man is his neighbor, and he’s been dealing with this for years now. So I scoured his comments section. Come to find out, this caregiver isn’t just anyone… IT’S THE OLD MAN’S SISTER‼️‼️‼️ I confirmed this not only through his comments but also by going to him privately, where he confirmed it himself. Jonathan is clearly fed up! He even calls her out for only taking care of her brother for a paycheck!!! Which is so often the case. Jonathan did call authorities, and police and adult services are investigating. JONATHAN LIVES BY YOU ARE YOUR BROTHER’S KEEPER… Unfortunately, she does not.

Green: "A dawg recognizes a dawg. So we're going to go at it and sharpen each others' swords." 🏈Renardo Green spoke at length about how much Kyle Shanahan's belief in him has elevated his confidence. Seems that some totally misread the brief Seattle "benching" 🏈Another CB highlight: Jack Jones INT'd Mac Jones on rollout jump ball to Jacob Cowing. Jones has been a spark plug this camp 🏈It was the De'Zhaun Stribling and Demarcus Robinson show at WR today. Stribling is eminently impressive physically — just really hard to cover with his traits. Robinson is a reliable vet whose roster stock only increases with Ricky Pearsall still dealing with last season's PCL injury 🏈Darrell Luter Jr. (final year of rookie deal) did have a nice PBU vs Robinson 🏈Punt returners... -Jacob Cowing -Jordan Watkins -Junior Bergen -Will Pauling -Wesley Grimes Cowing had a couple catches today and a first down on a reverse but has not been overly productive on offense. That statistic alone made me want to sit down with someone who has spent decades studying how democracies weaken, how trust collapses and what happens to societies when people stop believing in institutions. So today, I’m joined by historian Anne Applebaum on The Diary Of A CEO. Anne has been studying how democracies collapse and how authoritarian systems take hold. She’s written extensively about Russia, propaganda, political corruption and the psychology of power. What surprised me most is that she believes many of the warning signs she once studied abroad are now appearing inside Western democracies - could this be something that she’s never seen before? 😳

Paige Bueckers on visiting a park she frequented as a kid and being surrounded by those she grew up with being back in Minny: “Yeah, I mean, that’s where I always went when life was lifing. This stretch has been tough. Losing is tough. People got stuff going on in their personal lives. And at the end of the day, life is bigger than basketball. So to go and kinda heal my inner child, go back to where I fell in love with the game, go visit that park, walk the same walks I walked as a kid. And I don’t really talk about myself often, but just to kind of reflect on the journey it’s been to get here, it was really refreshing. Just to be settled and balanced in life with all the exterior pressures and all the things that life can throw at you. So I’m very grateful to be back home and to get that experience and I was happy to do that.”
