I had my whole life pulled apart when I moved here 20 odd year ago. Police checks, medical history checks, credit reference checks, vaccination checks. Interviews to ensure I didn't marry my wife just for the purpose of gaining citizenship... Now you just self declare?

At 59 i can't believe I'm actually actively looking at how and what country to move to, as quickly as possible. I have gone from a fiercely proud Canadian to hopelessly ashamed that we have let this country fall to self-serving politicians and special interest groups.
