Have you ever seen a cedar/oak tree? The cedar tree has an oak tree growing right out of the middle of it. It’s located in St. Francisville, Louisiana.

Some trees are so wonderful they must be serenaded. This is me playing a Skipinnish song to the Skipinnish Oak. My Tree of the Day. My Tree of (so far) all time!!

In the last 20 years, New Orleans has lost 1/3 of its tree canopy. We’re down to 18% citywide. That’s unacceptable. Atlanta Georgia has a 47% tree canopy. Oak trees not only keep things cooler in the summer months, they are incredible flood mitigators, absorbing hundreds of gallons of water each. We need to plant oak trees all over the city all the time.

🌳🪓 'It makes you really, really sad… but also really angry!' Toby Carvery sparks outrage after felling a 400-year-old oak—larger and older than the Sycamore Gap tree. Chief Executive of The Tree Council, Sara Lom, says urgent reform is needed to protect ancient trees.

"Burnt tree on Holika day." 🔥🚩🔥 Burning a living tree in the name of tradition goes against environmental values. Trees give us oxygen and sustain life. Govt should act against those responsible. Celebration should not mean destroying nature. Shameful.

I’ve finally printed some more of this magnificent old oak tree. The tree plate is printed on top of a colour background made with two other plates.

Pine trees 🌲 it’s mind blowing to think the bark can grow back without the tree being in the earth. The tree sap is remarkable: like pine spirits aka turpentine. Dragons blood is also from tree sap 💪

Just me drawing a magnificent Yew tree, thought to be 4000 years old. The door was added shortly after the villagers hollowed out the tree in 1820. In the process they found an English civil war cannonball Needless to say, I’m in love with this tree. - #drawing #tree #nature

🌳 ELON = OAK TREE 🌳 In Hebrew, Elon means means oak tree. ♾️In Dec 2010, Kim Clement said: When the time comes, remember, the oak tree. Remember the tree. invest in it for you will not make millions but billions of dollars. When God speaks, you have an opportunity to bring before him a blessing by obedience. Let him tell you what to do and when you do it, tell him God this I'm doing is out of obedience to you. The Bible constantly rewards people; blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the Earth. ripple:native

Last week, a 200-year-old oak tree that was damaged by Hurricane Ida fell in Audubon Park. Arborists found bee hives inside the tree and called beekeepers to safely relocate the bees before the tree was removed. The bees left behind a gift for our three black bears - honeycomb!
