ROSÉ on keeping relationships private “I’ve never been in a public relationship, and a lot of that is because I want to protect the person I love. It hurts more when people close to me get attacked. I’m okay being in the public eye it’s my job but it feels unfair when someone I care about gets dragged into it. Right now, with the fan base I’ve experienced, I don’t know if I feel completely safe. Maybe in the future, if I really trust the media to protect me, I’d feel more comfortable. But for now, I think a lot of people understand what that feels like.”

I’ve started listening to myself more, and also to the people who are truly important to me. So right now, I feel like I’ve reached a point where I’ve found my balance. There was a time when I felt burned out too, from working very hard and from moments of panic caused by comments on social media, including antis. All of that made me feel quite pressured about standing here. Right now, I don’t really feel pressured anymore. I just want to do things my way. If you want to keep following me, that's fine. If not, you can follow someone else.

We had auditioned about a dozen people, but none gave us.. butterflies in our stomach. Then Miu walked in, and I instantly knew she had something special. When they talked, even before the audition. and afterward, I could feel…something there that told me this could work. Seeing them at the audition, it just felt right. I found out later that they actually knew each other. Other details they shared, like birthdays and more... made me wonder how their paths had brought them to each other that day. When I tell you the more this man talks, the more I love him! I mean this! 🥹 They were talking about who Ilhan is behind the cameras because he doesn’t share his private life, where he goes on vacation, or what he does, and he was like, let’s say there is a place that is special to me… “When I share something, I think about those who will see it, whether they are at the same level as me, in the same environment, or the same financial strength — and I don’t just mean people who have less, but also those who have more. I always wan to be respected. It a nonnegotiable to me. I try to reciprocate the same through the way I treat others & work. That’s what my new contract with ESPN was about. I didn’t need to feel loved & the contract details would dictate my worth there. I wanted to agree to something that gave me a heart of gratitude walking into the building each day. So I worked for that. I stood on that & here we are. I feel so blessed for my progression. I got a lot of what I wanted, but certainly not all. It was a reminder. You ain’t “him” yet. So the goal remains the same. Do Right And Kill Everything. The energy is different but the grind is now! See y’all. EVERYWHERE! 🎥 Mr Sublime
