The moment that changed Spurs history forever

He was a Spurs fan, because of Tony Parker. Spurs have a lot of French fans.

3 years later : unanimous roty , 2x all star , FIRST unanimously DPOY , first defensive team , all nba first team , western conference champion , wc final mvp that IS a generational talent

He was so relieved to not have to play for Charlotte

Guy knew this front office knows how to build a winner. Game recognize game.

There’s no one I wanted more and we got him! I was at work and told my coworker I’ll cry and when we won’t that 1st pick…I indeed did cry lol

The city of San Antonio cried with you 😭🙏🏼

It was a special day for sure!

Imagine Hornets getting him, he would have chocked himself to death being that competitive. Its a good pair- up with SA, they know what to do with his talent.

To be fair, this was the third moment. 1987…… 1997

@BiasedHouston punching air, no one wants to go to the bum ass rockets

@TheAthens01 Changed his own life too — the Alien 👽 landed 🛸 right where he’s supposed to be 🏴🏳️🙌🏾🙏🏾🌟

Wow… Tony Parker’s protege gets drafted by the most obvious team ever. What are the odds??

Wemby looks absolutely miserable that he isn’t going to the Rockets…

Love Wemby, but this video looks like he’s the only one who got sent the script to act surprised 😂

He is actually a generational superstar ..achieving so much in 3 years is what makes you generational star like LeBron mj

He wanted us as much as we wanted him

Rigged btw

@ApolloSteve17 @Bmacs_Back

Wembys career would have been cooked if the Hornets had picked first

You do realize they’ve gone through a dynasty already right? Ground work has been laid, they’re playing within that same system Pop laid down. But yea sure, another generational talent, that’s cool

The year the Detroit pistons got robbed of a #1 pick.

Wait nobody talked about a smart business move from the hornet 🐝 picking Branson miller ahead of scoot Henderson! And people called MJ crazy

He was really happy but he probably didn't fully realize he was stepping into the best organization in the NBA, bar none.

It’s 2 younger ones 🤦🏽‍♂️

still remember this day

They already knew it was Spurs. Prearranged

communist hero

as a blazer fan this hurts my soul

Some needs to scout his brother …

I wonder how Lebrons carrer would have looked like at Spurs

Weird ass reaction from his family

Imagine if he went to the hornets

It’s so so wild!!!!

😭😭😭🔥

@malika_andrews voice in the background trying to be profound is just nails on a chalkboard. My goodness.
