Now in its fourth week, BKC Friday Public Transport Day, a voluntary initiative by MMRDA in association with WRI India, continues to build momentum across the business district. As part of this week's activities, WRI India's Srinivas Alavilli gathered feedback from commuters at the BKC Metro station through an interactive feedback wall, capturing their experiences and suggestions on using public transport in BKC. Last Friday, BKC showed what collective action can achieve; with a 30% reduction in congestion and a 10% drop in fuel sales during Public Transport Day. Now, it is time to build on this momentum. Appealing to citizens, Maharashtra's Cultural Minister and Guardian Minister of Mumbai Suburbs, Shri Ashish Shelar, spoke about how choosing public transport is better for the environment and for the city as a whole.
