Anyway only two more weeks to go for this shutdown. Hurstbridge Line will have been operating in sections for nearly 9 weeks once these works to build the new tunnel (or alternative naming). I actually think this is one of the longest rail shutdowns we’ve had for a while?

Actually nowhere near the longest, I forgot the whole Union Station clusterfuck which shutdown the Lilydale and Belgrave lines for more than 3 months lol

Could wind turbines become a key renewable energy solution in urban areas? 🌬️🌆 Until now, the large size of traditional wind turbines has hindered their adoption in cities. However, a new generation of urban wind turbines is now making strides 👀

I'm so against calling this thing a tunnel

Not actually a tunnel yet, they've only installed the concrete slab track and side walls - the roof still needs to be installed over the top.

I had no idea this was happening

Hunnel?

How sad they did not connect this to a rail tunnel built with the road tunnel to the north?

For the disruptions that this has caused, it looks pretty neat

Yay a second Metro Tunnel
