On one hand this is amazing technology. On the other hand I absolutely hate it. Everything is already so inauthentic, and this will only worsen the issue.

Okay, we need a new word for Ai-altered photos. I think someone would still say, “Hey, look at this photo I took.” But it’s not a photo anymore at this point. It’s a fabrication. What would be an appropriate word?

One thing that drives me crazy about Apple is this: if someone sends me a photo a week ago and I save it today, I expect it to show up in today’s Camera Roll. Instead, Apple files it back under the date the photo was originally taken or received, so I have to go digging through old photos to find it. I honestly don’t understand why Apple thinks that’s a good user experience.

Generative photography like this almost got @rittenhouse2a sent to prison because the boomer judge was clueless that the STATE PROSECUTOR had used AI infill (pinch to zoom) to "digitally enhance" evidence
