Imagine thinking that your angry little tweet storm about a car ad that dared to think outside the box is going to take down Jaguar, only for them to rake in 155 million views on X. To achieve 155 million views on a video ad, it would typically cost a car company between $7.75 million (at $0.05 per view) and $15.5 million (at $0.10 per view). Jaguar essentially got that level of exposure for free, thanks to the outrage amplifying their ad as woke or whatever people called it because it had artsy people, of various races in it. Not a bad return on investment, right So, congrats, I guess? You played yourselves into making Jaguar trend worldwide. Maybe the next time you try to 'cancel' a luxury car brand, consider this: your outrage is their marketing strategy—and it worked brilliantly.
