I am pleased to announce that the Lagos Island regeneration project is steadily progressing. This is a direct result of the commitment of Mr. Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu Babajide Sanwo-Olu , to restore order and ensure sanity in our environment across the state. From drainage upgrades to the clearing of illegal structures and the transformation of under-bridge spaces, we are seeing visible improvements. Flood-prone areas are being addressed, public infrastructure is being protected, and residents are already experiencing better living conditions. This project is about long-term value. It is about safeguarding lives, preserving infrastructure and restoring the true character of Lagos Island. We will stay the course and ensure that every phase of the regeneration is delivered responsibly and in the best interest of our people. #AGreaterLagosRising

A dramatic video of how the new-age Sion bridge is taking shape piece by piece, like a giant LEGO creation. It is a once-in-a-century transformation, following the demolition of the 110-year-old stone bridge. One lane of the new bridge over the railway lines is now in place, with massive girders brought in from Ambala last month and assembled at the site. The new structure has already created space for two additional rail lines below, while work on the second lane is set to follow.
