Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Hon. Ziyambi Ziyambi said portfolio committees are currently compiling reports based on public submissions and findings from nationwide hearings on the Constitutional Bill 3. He said once Parliament resumes next week, he will introduce the Bill for its first reading before proceeding to the second reading stage where its provisions and rationale will be fully explained. Hon. Ziyambi noted that committees which conducted public hearings will then table their reports and Members of Parliament will debate and propose amendments to the Bill. He added that Government will consider all submissions, including possible adjustments or removal of some clauses depending on the outcome of parliamentary debate. The Minister expressed hope that the entire legislative process will be completed by the end of June.

Hon. Ziyambi states that Parliament will now transmit the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (No. 3) Bill (CAB3) to His Excellency President Mnangagwa for assent and signature. Once assented, the Bill will be gazetted and become part of the Constitution. He notes that the timing depends on how quickly the Bill is transmitted, adding that the President normally assents to Bills promptly upon receipt.

#WATCH | Jagtial, Telangana: BRS working president KT Rama Rao says, "Women's Reservation Bill was already passed by the Parliament in 2023. There was no need for this Bill to be linked with the delimitation exercise. Knowing fully well that if 2011's census or latest census becomes the basis for delimitation, southern India will lose out heavily. Modi Govt introduced this Bill, which they knew very well, will not be able to get the 2/3rd majority that is required for a Constitutional amendment. Therefore, we as BRS, certainly express our deep concern and deep protest with respect to stifling the voice of southern India in the Parliament. We request and demand the Union Govt to fulfill the promise given to the women of this country because the Bill was already passed in 2023 with respect to women's reservation. If you have to do it, you can do with the 543 at present. All that we would like to tell you is make sure that the 24% seats that the south of India today has in the Parliament is kept intact. If that is not kept intact, this will lead to severe protest and resentment from the people of south India who have contributed to this nation in a big way..."

And it begins… 🚨 UK PM Kier Starmer says Digital ID will be MANDATORY for their Citizens to have the Right to Work Look at his hands as he says it… “Let me spell it out, you will not be able to work in the United Kingdom if you do not have digital ID. It’s as simple as that.” He says it will be done before the end of this parliament. The end of the current UK Parliament, is no later than August 2029. Just in time for their Agenda 2030 plan. Hopefully something happens before then.

Today we met our parents, the workers of the University of the Western Cape (UWC), to outline the EFF's Insourcing Bill, which is at an advanced stage in Parliament. We promised them that we will bring the EFF TG, Commissar Omphile Maotwe, who is championing it. Outsourcing is the most exploitative and cruel practice in our public institutions. Only the corrupt, who want to benefit from tenders, will support outsourcing while workers receive slave wages and abusive treatment. The EFF Bill will ensure that workers are insourced, and receive full benefits. It’s time to empower our people directly, not ANC Tenderpreneurs.

I have been coming to Parliament regularly since the session began; I sit in my chamber, but since the Opposition is not allowing Parliament to function—in either House—what is one supposed to do? As for the discussion, Kiren Rijiju, our Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, has made it very clear that the government is ready for a full discussion regarding the NEET protests. We asked for a time to be fixed and for the Opposition to be ready. That was their initial demand, and we agreed to it.
