The next-gen Torobo Hand from Tokyo Robotics, currently under development and set for release later this year, features 16 DoF, up to 10N fingertip force, nearly 200 integrated pressure sensors, and backdrivable torque-controlled joints—all fully compatible with ROS.

Genuine question - why are they always set for release, but never for sale? Never, in all the years of CES, have there been any robotic hands available for sale to the public? Sure, there are robotic arms in a range of industries for sale by companies like KUKA and ABB, but never something you can buy and use at home.
