The Nigerian Commodity Exchange Commission is a figure head commission I have never seen them do anything that support food producers. Buyers will form a bargaining group, determine price for farmers, determine price for consumers. And our exchange commission is nowhere to be found. Imagine from the video, if...

It’s not the government bro, the government do try to regulate the prices but those MIDDLEMEN are daylight robbers. They understand that if they don’t pressure the farmers to agree at their prices the produce might probably get damaged. Funny thing is when they now beat those prices down they come to the city with those produce and sell x8 of that price

Farmer's lack of education is working against them. 1st off, you can help them form different cooperative and put a price ceiling and price floor on their products. Additionally, they can eliminate the middlemen by moving their products to the main markets to sell directly.

Farmers should form cooperatives and establish their own retail markets. They should lobby government to fund it and make sure to retain direct control of the market.

Everything is government to Nigerians, even when it's as simple as supply and demand. What stops the farmer from forming an association and refusing to sell to those middlemen but directly to willing consumers? Nope, Una want sell at exorbitant prices to middlemen first.

These are very important discussions everyone need to put mouth. If farmers are earning less for their hard work, they'll not be encouraged to produce more and there's less motivation for younger generation to embrace that lifestyle. We care much more about BBM Naija interview 😢

the middlemen are always in the market... so they know each other well and can easily form a union to control prices. the farmer? harvests today, and might only return next week or so... so it's much harder for them to organize or have any real voice in the market.

This was what Fekomi or that herbal guy was saying that day. You get a product at 30k per goods and selling it as high as 70k. Just imagine. Same thing with these middle men and farmers. They’ll sell one tuber of yam for 5k plus after buying at 1k or 2k max. Very wicked.

This is exactly what happens when government creates institutions without giving them the teeth, funding, independence and accountability to do their jobs. If buyers can form cartels, dictate farm-gate prices and leave producers with no meaningful bargaining power, while the supposed regulator is invisible, then the commission has failed its purpose. Farmers shouldn’t be price takers while middlemen become the biggest winners. Government’s job isn’t just to announce agricultural policies it must build a market where farmers can negotiate fairly, access reliable price information and actually benefit from the food they produce. And yes, every government agency should be able to answer one simple question: “What measurable value are you delivering to Nigerians?” If the answer is nothing, reform it, merge it or scrap it. Nigeria cannot afford expensive institutions that exist mainly on paper.

The farmers use to aid them in the past now the chicken as come home roost. These are very so power that you can't just decide to start any food business or businesses that producers are usually in villages or farm settlement without going through them. You can't Amala flour in bags from producers without going through them. The producer won't sell to you have to go and register with these people and be buying through them until a time they give you freedom to access the producers on your own. This same practice applies to charcoal business and others.

Famers too should form associations. If you agree at 10k nobody should sell below that. If the middlemen waste their money on transport to come to the market and they couldn’t buy anything then everybody loose and move on. Government will not and shouldn’t control the price.

** Call to Action for Global Pioneers: Uniting Efforts to Stabilize the GCV Price in the Exchange Market** Dear Global Pioneers, We are currently at a critical juncture that may determine our ability to swiftly realize the GCV in the exchange market. As of now, we are in the Open Network phase, which serves as a preparatory stage for a fully decentralized network where all code can be activated. It is important to note that the Pi Network has not registered as a security because it aims to function as a digital currency rather than a digital asset. However, given recent list on the exchange market, compliance with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is now necessary for Pi Network, which subsequently require CT not to guide Pi's price in the exchange market. To address this situation, we urge all pioneers to unite in a call auction to ensure the GCV is stabilized as soon as possible. We implore you not to sell below the GCV price. Conversely, you are encouraged to buy if you have the means, as the current prices are significantly low. It is essential to emphasize that we are now in the Open Network phase, permitting both buying and selling. We have observed that many pioneers may be hesitant to make purchases; however, it is imperative that you do not let this concern deter you. We have surpassed the enclosed mainnet phase, where buying and selling were prohibited. Increasing liquidity in the exchange market is crucial for attracting external investors. At this stage, the combined strength of all pioneers is required to enhance purchasing power and to capitalize on lower prices. Please clarify your understanding of our current pricing situation. The existing market prices do not reflect Pi's value of our source code, which is derived from our blockchain record. Our efforts have previously focused on establishing Pi as a digital currency, culminating in the creation of the GCV blockchain record, which has indeed achieved success. For instance, the GitHub record indicates a GCV of $314,159, and Mr. Kasasih's code fork has now been integrated into the CT’s main bran code of the signifying its official status. The rationale for the current low prices in the exchange market stems, in part, from a lack of awareness among many pioneers, some of whom may be in financially constrained positions and require immediate funds for necessities. Such individuals may be misled by those who do not support GCV's potential, thereby selling their holdings at depressed prices. This underscores the importance of CT's control over KYC processes and migration procedures. Allowing all pioneers pass KYC and migrating Pi could lead to detrimental outcomes for the project, as uninformed pioneers may sell at significantly low prices. Just we see right now there are a lot of pioneers sell at very low price. So, CT only allow 10 million wallets migrated. It is important to recognize that the current low pricing is not the fault of the PCT or GCV CT, it is a consequence of a collective lack of proactive engagement from the pioneers. By promoting education on the true value of Pi as GCV, we can mitigate the prevalence of low-price sellers. While complaints about pricing may arise, it is essential to understand that we cannot prevent pioneers from selling. What we can do is purchase the available low-priced offerings from the market and collectively urge all pioneers not to sell below the GCV price. This remains a top priority for all involved if we aim to achieve the OM status swiftly. Additionally, it is vital to understand that the CT cannot announce the price of Pi in the exchange market, nor can they buy all the Pi in the exchange market. The price must ultimately be determined by the actions of our pioneering community and outside investors. Therefore, it is everyone's responsibility to refrain from complaints and instead focus on advancing the project collectively. We recommend all pioneers take the following actions: - Do not sell below $314,159. Please list selling price at $314,159. You should have confidence on GCV when it has been in the code already. Once the OM completed; all ecosystems will implement GCV. And you don’t need to wait long time and I estimate in one month or less. - Consider purchasing if you have extra funds available but ensure that you are not borrowing money or using essential living funds for these investments. Any amount such as $10 or $20 or $100 you choose to invest can contribute to increasing the visibility of Pi in the exchange market, potentially attracting outside investors. Also, many pioneers have locked three years with 100%, it is a good chance. You can acquire 6 Pi for just $10 right now. Once our pioneers warm up the market, you'll see outside investors becoming active, so there's no need to worry about how long or how much funding it will take to reach GCV. As soon as the low-priced Pi are being purchased, the price is poised to surge from just a few dollars to GCV in no time. We won't follow the traditional cryptocurrency path for growth because we have a strong community backing GCV.` It is crucial for all global pioneers to recognize that we are all collectively striving towards the successful realization of the OM. The CT shares this goal as well. However, if the exchange market price remains as low as $1 or $2, the likelihood of merchants joining the Pi Network diminishes. It is imperative that the gap between the ecosystem's Pi value and its exchange market price remain minimal. If the exchange price is low, it inhibits the CT's ability to fulfill ecosystem objectives. You need not worry about protracted timelines. With collective action, the path to achieving GCV can be expedited. While it would indeed be beneficial for the CT to manage arrangements efficiently, it is vital that we do not adopt a passive stance, awaiting resolutions. Delays could adversely affect both the reputation of PCT and the GCV CT. Lastly, I would like to address recent rumors suggesting that pioneers are unable to transfer Pi to or from the exchange market; this information is misleading. Pi Network is indeed open already, and the CT has verified five exchange markets for transactions. I have personally encountered challenges while attempting to purchase 1,000 Pi on the exchange market, with multiple platforms rejecting my credit and debit card payments. Nonetheless, I firmly believe that this represents a valuable investment opportunity critical for advancing our collective mission toward GCV unification in the exchange market. Your understanding of this message and prompt actions will be appreciated as we move forward together. Best regards, Doris Yin🪷🪷🪷 Founder, Global GCV Movement Feb.23rd, 2025

I am the person practice Law of Attraction many years and I do see a lot of change in my life! I believe everything can change to better after we change our heart and our mindset. On the way to Pi success journey, all our community should work together and help each other. Because we are on the same boat. We use our heart on it and we love it and it is in our life and it is our light and hope! Nobody want it fail. I read a story about a bird who has two heads share one body. But one head jealous another head and hate it. So he seduce the other head to eat a poisoned fruit. He is very happy to see the other head die. But after a few minutes, his head feel very painful and died too. I use the story to describe our poineers community. We should understand how to make Pi succes. If you hurt other poineers community, actually it will hurt your community too. I have no discrimiation on different price and respect all Pi Communities. However I would like all pioneers understand why we call GCV, it is not because ourselves greedy. It is because Pi need to start from high price to protect it on open mainnet. We all know a lot of pioneers come from the bottom of our society. They are in hardship, they even cannot afford food and place to live. And these kinds of pioneers has occupied most community. Nobody can prevent them to sell Pi becuase they are Pi holders. They need to survive, this is also the reason why there are a lot under table exchange to FIAT. Even 0.85$ or maybe 0.01$ they will sell Pi. What will happen, if the price is this low? I don't think this price can make eco develpe well. I talked with a Chinese mall rep, he told me many merchants hesitate to put their high value products on the mall is because the price big difference. If they use a price, then pioneers barter and sell in a lower price mall. It will hurt these merchants. This is the reason most merchant won't put high value products. How about the low consensus price bartered by pioneers? Yes, the merchant get a lot of Pi. However they still cannot survive if close mainnet more than 3 months-6 months. The pioneers will used up all his Pi. Then Pi has no relationship with him/her. For myself I have no Pi to use even if I have all basic coin and security circle migrated. All has been locked for 3 years. Now I changed to 90% so I only have 9 Pi in 2-3 years after almost 1 years mining. All bonus Pi cannot use now. before price united. Another thing I want to address again! No need to worry KYC! If you are real person you can pass in 5 min! Many don't want to do anything is because they don't believe they can pass KYC. You must understand Price is the root of eco. Eco healthy can make all KYC open! This is the only thing you don't need to worry. You don't pass or not get open is Because CT not ready to open to all ! #WhatIDoForPi #PiGCV
