The Nintendo Switch is OVERRATED! Here’s why.

I’m still angry that Nintendo used the Switch to kill off their Gameboy franchise. I loved my 3DS, I would still be buying games for it today if they were putting them out. People who tell me the Switch is also portable just don’t get it.

@sonicgott Based take. Joycons are literal ass in terms of reliability and ergonomics. The console's hardware is literally just a mid android tablet from 2015. Emulated BOTW was a better experience than on console from release. I'll die on this hill with you. 3rd parties made the switch OK.

Not me looking at my switch I haven’t played in literal months..

I completely agree don’t get me wrong I love gaming on my switch, but the lag and tiny controllers are super frustrating. The Nintendo DS despite its graphics limitations, it still was a good console cause the developers made high quality games that could actually run on it.

ok….a few things: 1. Joycons do suck, but mostly cuz of drift and feeling too flimsy. The idea of modular controllers is AMAZING. 2. Hot take: Plenty of games run well, and I am not bothered by 30FPS as long as its a locked 30FPS and doesnt go lower.

i mean hey rumor has it Nintendo is finally releasing a replacement for the switch that’s on par graphically to other systems out there finally lmao. would be about time, but i’ll be sad to see it go as i only got a switch real late into its lifespan 😭

I can agree with you on a couple of your points but what games are running poorly from Nintendo? I've seen a couple lag spikes but it's not game breaking by any means. It's gone seconds later. Also if I emulate it I can't play the games I want online or local multiplayer.

it is, no doubt, my Switch is just somewhere gathering dust, no games in it are too appealing to make me take it out and play. i even couldn´t finish TOTK, because the annoying building mechanics, and I just got over Tulin story and never played again. :(

@Silentpaw09 This is why I bought a pro-controller. It's cheaper and can outlast joycons. Lag issues are still a headscratcher though. Surely that should be accounted for during testing?
