GR doesn't solve in space. His theory allows for the possibility of time travel but the equation doesn't work in space. time we found a more accurate theory that fits, not trying to jam antimatter into a failed equation.

ER=EPR… if I were to oversimplify 100 years of modern physics… Einstein’s field equations are nonlinear and too hard for mere mortals to solve. So mere mortals turned to statistics, renormalization and linear equations that were easier to solve and we get QFT. There may be an underlying nonlinear solution that offers a realist perspective

Perfectly put. Gravity is geometry. As is the structure of space-time. It’s topology.
If we consider spacetime as a fluid, then perhaps the wormhole could be a vortex or a bubble or a Rayleigh-Taylor instability within the fluid.
