@GMB Where the hell have you been?? We, as GP Receptionists, were having to do "Care Navigation" over three years ago!! It's common practice. Most people happy to see a Nurse if quicker for them. GP not always needed. We get nothing but ABUSE. You are SO behind the times!!!

We were promised 6000 more GP's and 40 new hospitals at the last election. Neither have been delivered. But not to worry, Doctor's receptionists are going to be trained as "care navigators" so that's OK then. 13 years

Absolute awful ‘plan’ from department of health. Not going to fix anything. The solution is: 1) to fund primary care properly to stop it dying 2) pay GPs properly to retain them 3) pay Drs in training properly to keep them in the U.K. This plan offers nothing otherwise.

Anything rather than put more money into the health service, that's the Tory way.

My Mrs phoned her drs at 8am and she was 39th in the queue to get an appointment for 2 weeks,brand new surgery, I phone my Dr's get through straight away same day appointment old surgery.

All GPS should be open ! Stop with the waiting weeks for appointments ! The receptionist think they are Doctors . My results were in for blood pressure test receptionist said fine . Two days later Doctor called telling me have to more than double my normal dose as so high !
