He was not the best coach ever. To be sure coaching IS about winning but it’s never about the coach, it’s about the players. Bobby Knight was about Bobby Knight first. He had zero self control and he was a tyrant. He coached in a different time. Look at Coach K at Duke. He was stern but never lost control and never made it about himself. Bobby knight was never a good example of a coach. He just won in a time when it was ok to be a bully.
