the paint does A LOT here, but this is how I modeled her

slightly longer version with narration it's pt-br but I recorded english audio for it too, so if you hear nonsense check audio settings to hear nonsense in the correct language dont click expecting something new tho, think director's cut

I would love how to learn modelling as I am primarily a programmer and always struggle with assets. I want to make my own. Where should I start?

assuming a fresh start, I use blender, and "the donut" is a very well known vid that teaches ui and some basics. it's not about this kind of modeling, but it can help you get familiar with the things, and then you could go for lowpoly vids

very hard question tho, hard to say, and no idea about paid routes like courses I have some 'tutorial-like' vids on youtub but they are stuck in pt-br only

Thanks, I am a full stack engineer and more looking for tips on how to make similar type of artstyle you are showing here or where to start as I am working on making a game part time 😁. Really do like your art and seeing the process 🤩

I just watched a video of guy made this model but only in 333 tris

I've heard he's very handsome, and tall

😂

So cool! This in blender or?

blender! very old version tho, for no reason, 2.79

If it aint broke dont fix it!

yo how the FUCK are people magically creating faces and vertices and shit with a wave of their hand

Me when I see this: "Looks easy. Let me try!" Me in Blender: "How do I delete this cube?"

I keep forgetting you can just add a sphere for the head instead of just making the body and then saving and quitting and going to bed and never touching the project file again

Looks amazing! Love this artstyle

something just clicked in my brain seeing you use the 2d character design to make the models. I've only ever seen that done for cars and vehicles.

Excellent work!

Great video. Thank you for sharing the process

Clean modeling and great texturing!

333 tris? That’s very dedicated, I wonder what the first try was like…

I'm pretty sure it is a lot harder than it looks. Still, make me want to try 3D modeling.

its so much more fun to texture low poly models because youre working with something slightly closer to a flat canvas, and you can imply details without having to spend so long on every little boring part

Are those 6 vertex legs? :o

5 lol

Thanks <3

That looks rad af, how long did it take you from start to finish?

ty! hard to say, 1 day to model and "1 day" to paint (one day meaning like idk 6 hrs) but actually I spent a whole heckin week painting bit by bit, as I kept having new ideas n stuff

I've been meaning to use this aesthetic for a while but it always made me think how it'd look on less stylized proportions.

It's better that the paint does most of the work. Keep cooking

How did you get it to move without it looking buns tell me your secrets

her design is so tea!!

Love the hair mesh, and great color choices too 👍🏼

I want to learn how to do this, any videos explaining the process?

Do you have tutorials or something to follow along to learn how to model like this? I'm very interested in low poly 🤩

omgggg

Mesmerizing!

You make it look so easy

Your making it look easy…

Nice vid

My man got as many faces in this model as i have pennies in my purse Joke aside this is great

Is this Blender 2.79? WTF are you doing when there's Blender 5.2 available? Love that right click to select?

it's cozy idk

Ok, you do you then. IMO Blender 5.2 is 100x cozier.

The way I see it, painting and textures usually carry a model.

ye, just wanted to warn I wasn't gonna show the painting part

Cute! Well done lad
