Veins popping out, teeth being crushed to dust, and their hands bleeding from being clenched so hard. The pure HATE and ANGER emanating from this is palpable.

Barney is the ONLY fictional character whose haters literally have THEIR OWN DEDICATED WIKIPEDIA ARTICLE. Seeing such an awful trend forgotten to the point where a very tame example of it is now seen as a novelty and assumed to have been extreme at the time is very cathartic.

Barney’s fascinating because I can’t think of another toddler show that’s quite as hated. I don’t remember ever not hating him, though I do remember having a Barney plush, so I can only imagine I liked him until I gained awareness and then immediately knew that I hated him.
