At a major computing convention, I saw the Red Hat Linux sales drones legit use Windows laptops to run VMs of linux as part of their pitch. I called 'em out about it and they were quite unhappy. Good times. RMS, the head of the church of emacs, using windows, is even funnier.

Bad optics, but this was probably a laptop the venue had setup for everyone presenting. Stallman's known to only own laptops with an open bios and require zero proprietary blobs.

At many conferences they don't accept Linux, you have to use Windows because it has to deal with the Win-only setup the staff has set up. Sometimes you just load slides into the PC they provide. Happened recently at a Linux conference I was partecipating. That's the sad reality.
