The physics of this unparking

Not saying I am a bad driver, but if I had to try that.. this would happen

My Dad would put the bumper of our 1978 Lincoln Continental with it's huge 460 V-8 engine against the rear bumper of the car that blocked us in and floor it! It was like a bulldozer and shoving it forward about 10-15 ft. Then he would back up 5-6 ft and drive on down the street!

I am not sure you can pull this stunt with an automatic car. 🤔

WOW! If I tried that, we’d have 3 smashed cars! Stunt drivers are Amazing!

What if your car is rear wheel drive while holding handbrake nothing is moving then

The video depicts a real technique where a driver in a tight spot first pushes the adjacent cars slightly by hand to create minimal clearance, then uses the car’s engine to complete the unparking. • The core physics involves accelerating a front-wheel-drive car with the handbrake partially engaged on the rear wheels, creating a pivot point that allows the vehicle to rotate sharply out of the confined space via torque and differential friction. • This maneuver is authentic and leverages basic mechanics, though it stresses tires and brakes and works best on flat surfaces with the parking brake not fully locked on both wheels.

Better hope that emergency brake is working properly.

Not possible to do that today with electronic parking brakes. I hate them & think they’re a safety defect.

I wonder whether the right rear park brake was disabled “for the purpose of demonstration”.

Is it bad that I was more interested in determining if the car in front was a Fiat Uno?

Now, do it with rear wheel drive.

Don’t try this at home!

Wow ♥️

That's cool. How many did you wreck to get that result? No matter how many, still cool!!

Hahaha, Pro!

is this really possible

Me thinking this was going to be a seven minute video

No need to use "physics" really. Mathematics is enough. You can parallel park a car in a space that's a fraction of an inch longer than your car if you are allowed to use a large enough number of moves back and forth. If you can do that you can also do it in reverse.

😂 No Problem!

Waooo😱😱

It’d be fun to do that! 🤭

Good bye u-joins

He's a very intelligent 🧠 driver

whoever pulled that off deserves an engineering degree on the spot

Never work on AWD

NO SE RICK .........

Clever. until he breaks his drive train lol

this is what i call man math

Oh gosh no thank you, i am bad at parking. I’d ask someone for help for sure🤣🤣

What was that thing he stuck in the door handle. And why?
