Did the #AdHocCommittee simply forget to ask Gen Khumalo an obvious question in relation to Stuart James Scharnick and his connection to Gen Sibiya? Stuart was physically present in Parliament, sitting right behind Gen Sibiya. He was quietly slipped into the sitting under the pretence that he was part of Sibiya’s close protection (or legal team, like he said later?). MPs were made to sit through proceedings with a criminal, right there. Days later, it was Gen Khumalo who revealed that the man that MPs had been sitting with was actually not a protector or a lawyer at all, but a CRIMINAL with a long rap sheet.📝 Parliament’s security was compromised, MPs were misled, a known criminal gained access to a high-level parliamentary process and this happened through what can only be described as brazen disregard for the law in true Sibiya fashion. So when Gen Khumalo later appeared before the same committee this week, the very person who exposed this embarrassment, one would expect curiosity, urgency, even outrage from MPs‼️ But nothing. 🚫 No follow-up, no probing and no appetite to understand how a thug was smuggled into Parliament and passed off as close protection. That silence strengthens the concern that the #AdHocCommittee is not truly investigating, but merely listening, recording, and moving on even when Parliament itself has been disrespected. If the committee were serious about accountability, the Scharnick incident should have been front and centre, especially with Gen Khumalo in the room, someone with depth on who this criminal is. #AdHocCommittee #Parliament #Accountability #RuleOfLaw
