The problem with a pause is pause means play and play is not acceptable. We all condemn Hamas, we all want Hamas gone. But what is happening to ordinary citizens of Palestine, who have nothing to do with Hamas, is only fuelling more insurgency, not less.

While I agree with the need for peace and a ceasefire, I disagree it’s only fuelling more insurgency. October 7th and the Palestinian response to it, shone a light on the venomous education system and propaganda system in the Palestinian territories. It’s already everywhere.

There are two factors at play here @LaylaMoran . Hamas - who regard the deaths of any citizen as the divine will & therefore not worth protecting … thus ‘using’ civilians as collateral damage. Israel- who are disregarding the Torah, where revenge and retribution are forbidden.

If you want Hamas gone, what should replace them? Please tell.

Well said @LaylaMoran … you are one of the few, sensible voices in politics .

Rather gullible to think diplomacy will get rid of Hamas.

We all want Hamas gone How ? What's the plan ?

"ordinary citizens of Palestine, who have nothing to do with Hamas" The 'ordinary citizens of Palestine' have allowed Hamas to flourish in Palestine. They are complicit.

So many people who have nothing to do with Hamas. It’s a surprise they have such a vice like grip on Palestinians in Gaza

Not sure how you've missed the opportunity support free and fair elections in Gazza for so long?

Joe Biden vetoed calls for a ceasefire.
