"The problem with young players today..."

You would absolutely hate to play under this bloke. Guy is such a helmet

They say some managers are ahead of their time, this guy is 30 years behind the times. Don’t have to be a prick or be feared to be a good manager.

Think a lot of what he says is drivel if I am being honest. After England lost to Iceland at Euro 2016 I heard so much from ex-players about how academy players are mollycoddled. Then in next few years came likes of Rice, Mount, Foden, Saka etc. All from the modern generation.

At least they haven’t had to draw hair on their own head.

Yet we have possibly the best ever generation of young England players just about to hit their prime. The U21s just won the Euros. Guy's talking a load of nonsense.

Moans about young people, tries to get an 18 year olds hairline sewn into his 40 year old head. Agree to a point about the fact competitiveness shouldn't be sucked out of the game but the current crop of English youngsters are achieving far more than any in the last 30 years

"I'm horrible to them". Straight from the "character building" school. Motivation through fear. Probably needs to get his badges.

Breath of fresh air when you see the young lads who do have what it takes though ! So many don’t, but the ones who do it’s great to see.

The academy system is a failed system. More children fail than succeed.

Literally got nothing about him….we all had that moment back in the day during training….this helmet went to Turkey to try and hold on to his hairline and now thinks he’s Bertie big bollocks…absolutely weapon….we can all about at people and pretend we are something special…
