Delta Flight DL-2668 Evacuated in Atlanta Due to Engine Failure On January 10th, 2025, a Delta Air Lines Boeing 757-300 (registration N589NW), operating flight DL-2668 from Atlanta, GA to Minneapolis, MN, experienced an engine failure during takeoff from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The crew rejected the takeoff at around 85 knots, and the aircraft safely came to a stop approximately 1,800 meters (5,900 feet) down runway 09L. Following the incident, an evacuation was carried out via both the left and right slides due to a reported engine fire, though the exact cause remains unclear. Four passengers sustained minor injuries during the evacuation, with one being transported to the hospital. During the flight from Bucharest to Zurich with 74 passengers, there were engine problems and smoke in the cockpit and cabin. The aircraft landed at Graz and stopped on the runway where an evacuation was carried out. A rescue helicopter took the flight attendant under resuscitation on board and flew him to a hospital. There has been no information so far about the exact cause of the problems during the flight. Based on the initial findings, a technical defect in one of the engines was the probable cause, Swiss merely stated. The public prosecutor's office in Graz has opened an investigation into possible negligent bodily injury.

Equipped with a new engine, the helicopter has received modern onboard systems of Russian production. "The main purpose of this machine is passenger transportation, monitoring, flight training, and aviation sports," said Sergey Chemezov, the CEO of the Rostec State Corporation. Southwest Airlines has confirmed that one of its flights was forced to take evasive action to avoid colliding with another flight at Nashville International Airport over the weekend. Southwest reports that while approaching BNA amid gusty wind conditions, pilots of Southwest Flight 507 executed a precautionary go-around. During that action, the pilots used instructions from air traffic control and an onboard traffic alert to avoid conflicting with Southwest Flight 1152, which was departing from another runway. Flight 507 was able to land after the go-around and Flight 1152 continued to its destination in Knoxville. “We are engaged with the FAA as part of the investigation. Southwest appreciates the professionalism of its Pilots and Flight Crews in responding to the event.
