The Furious (🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟) is simply one of the best movies of the year. There’s no other way to put it. The martial arts & action set-pieces in this film left me stunned. A story about a man’s quest for revenge after his daughter is kidnapped, the story carries almost as much weight as the action. I’m personally asking you to see this film.

I thought last year’s Ballerina did justice to the John Wick series, largely thanks to the brilliant performance from Ana de Armas as Eve Macarro. De Armas is a force of nature in this film & her physicality helps nail the performance. I thought this was a really well-done action film that deserved to be seen on the biggest screen possible.

Fifteen years ago today, Winnie the Pooh was released. The latest hand-drawn film released by Walt Disney Animation Studios, this is such a lovable take on the silly old bear which has some great animation and songs as well as a lot of hilarious humor. I really love this one.

The Bodyguard 保镖 [2024] Directed By: Qin Pengfei Yang Xing (Na Na AKA Lollipop Girl) introduction in this scene solidifies that she was going to be that badass villain in this film. Not surprising coming from one of the Queens of Chinese Action DTV films. With Qu Jingjing climbing up the ranks as well in the action cinema space for a while and being in Qin Pengfei films. Hopefully she does more of this caliber and also got to work again with Yang Xing in The Raid 2025.
