I’d argue that facade of democratic state perhaps is even worse? It keeps people in an illusion of state of freedom and dulls their mind.

Christian fascism sounds like something that Marx, Lenin, Stalin, or Mao would say… I’m agnostic but went to evangelical school for 7 years. Even amongst evangelicals, Christianity and fascism just don’t go together. Christianity is rooted in your choice to believe in God. It’s rooted in CHOICE not FORCE. Freedom of religion means the freedom to be religious and the freedom to not be religious. Trying to demonize Christian’s as fascist is something straight from the Marxist playbook of destroying culture and religion.

Great points, but a key one missed: Trump’s far less war-hawkish than Biden. He was the first President in 3 decades not to start a NEW military intervention, & promises to resolve Ukraine in a day. Biden may be the most hawkish ever & was the Democrat’s ‘ring leader’ for Iraq.

Biden is not the lesser evil. Trump is the lesser evil. Obviously. At least for Americans. For the Ukraine. But for rest of world esp Muslims, it could be far worse.

What about reproductive and LGBTQ rights though? I'm not American and don't know much but they would seem to be large groups to whom the outcome would make a significant difference? There's probably others too?

Lower regulation and returning power to the states means less governments and increases competition and which reduces oligarchy.

Only one of the two candidates was invited and accepted an invitation to speak at the Libertarian Party convention. The Libertarian Party is hardly fascist.

We should wish it is only an oligarchy when it is and always has been an elite “ochlocracy” since the overthrow of the British monarchy from the U.S., or the Russian revolution ; both devolved into elite mob rule. Any democratic or parliamentary process is pure window dressing. The 20th century is rife with “isms” — communism, socialism, antidisestablishmentarianism, etc… “Fascism” was Mussolini’s brand name (the U.S. called it “Manfest Destiny”) where elite, xenophobic, mobile, capricious groups will defy legitimate authority, crying “freedom” when it is the worst of all, power grabbing cartels. An oligarch at least has a name and a face. Polybius described it 18 centuries ago. Modern society has forgotten the cycle of anacyclosis.
