Viggo Mortensen is in Carlito’s Way for one scene, and somehow Lalin feels like he has an entire movie behind him. That’s what makes Viggo’s performance so good. He doesn’t play Lalin as a random lowlife or comic relief. He gives him history, damage, resentment, and that pathetic kind of desperation that makes you understand why Carlito still feels something for him, even when he knows he shouldn’t. In just a few minutes, Viggo turns Lalin into a warning sign. He’s what happens when the old life doesn’t kill you cleanly but leaves you broken and bitter. I also love how smart Carlito is. He immediately senses something is off.

He finally gets the kiss he wants… and somehow looks even more conflicted afterward. That’s what makes this moment so good. There’s clearly something between Andrea and Daniele, but neither of them seems completely prepared for what happens when they actually stop holding it back. The kiss isn't treated like some huge triumphant romantic payoff. It feels messy, vulnerable and a little frightening because once it happens, pretending there’s nothing between them becomes a lot harder. And that’s exactly why the scene works. Would you have made the first move, or waited for him? The chemistry was already there. The kiss just made it impossible for them to pretend otherwise.

Hugh seemed like such a carefree guy who laughed at his buddy for being a dad with responsibilities, and yet this little girl completely hardwired his brain into father mode without him even realizing it. Hugh finally understands why his friend wanted to rush back to his family after work and why it was the best thing ever for him. He finally got to feel that himself. I'm still early in the game, but I'm totally in love with it. This is exactly the kind of game I've been waiting to play, nothing but pure feels and wholesomeness.
