better on yt :) ->

You did mention it, but it didn't end up as the "reason" for addiction: I think the rate limits are a major contributor to the addictiveness. It makes not-squeezing-it-all-the-way feel more wasteful then when you just pay a monthly fee.

It stops feeling like a chatbot and starts feeling like a coworker who can actually touch the repo. That shift changes everything.

> As some of you may know, my day job is at Google Wait, so you're trying to say that Google is in fact a sparkling water company, not a search engine company? 🤯

no freection imaging asking openai gpt codex 5.2 something thats actually no good for you he will ask you questions and follow up. Claude Code will roll with it and even improve your silly idea, its okay that your data will leak on github but he do it as its a video game.

The world of AI moves fast, we've all moved onto OpenAI's Codex.

You didn't mention action loops or skinner boxes, which makes me sad because that's the bulk of what I've seen for why people both love cc and are addicted to it.

claude code is good because of anthropic model , not because of cli tool

Building with agent view.

I love cloud code. I just keep building with it and building with it and building with it. I'll even build something for you for free.

I prompted a coffee shop POS exactly the way I want it to be in my mind by detail, AND KT DEVELOPED THAT PROJECT AND BLEW MY MIND

model improvements solve fewer problems than people think. the gap between capable and useful is mostly product design.

i'm curious, what's behind this obsession with claude code that's got devs so hooked is it the automation aspect or something else entirely

all this noise for a google search autocomplete upgrade...

Dev here. Not obsessed, feel more secure about my lining of work having to clean up vibe coding garbage.

in the middle - Codex also fits well with this explanation.

whats the point of building apps while someone sleep that anyone can now build?
