🇺🇸 The reason SpaceX keeps WINNING has nothing to do with rockets. Dylan Field dropped the truth: It’s the people. Elon built a team that looks at problems most companies would call impossible… and says “we’re in.” “SpaceX is a great example of a company where you’ve got amazing...

Exactly. Technology can be copied, but a culture of exceptional talent, bold thinking, and relentless execution is much harder to replicate. That kind of team can turn seemingly impossible problems into achievable goals.

🇺🇸 Elon stood in front of the whole SpaceX team and looked back at the wild ride so far. Reusable rockets were once laughed at, now SpaceX and Starlink are stitching the planet together. A real shot at life beyond Earth that most people still call science fiction. The only thing that actually matters: “What do you want the next chapters to be in this story? What do you want the next book to be?” The first book already changed everything, but this next one could change what it means to be human. Source: SpaceX, Elon Musk / Writer: Val

NEWS: Elon Musk says one reason for taking SpaceX public is to let the public own a part of the company. One of the reasons I took SpaceX public is so that the public could participate... they could own a piece of SpaceX. Musk explained that a public listing would allow millions of people to become shareholders, whereas private companies are limited to only a few thousand shareholders.

“In the beginning we (SpaceX team) knew nothing about rockets and our first three Falcon 1 missions failed that almost bankrupting us. SpaceX barely survived with the fourth launch if it had failed, the company would have collapsed. I am actually the chief engineer of SpaceX, so I've signed off on pretty much all the design decisions. I don't have an aerospace degree. Like I said, I read a lot of books, talked to a lot of people and have a great team.” — Elon Musk

It’s not as though others ignored the concept of reusability, they just concluded that it was too difficult to achieve. 🇺🇸 The market still doesn’t get Starlink. Elon laid it out on the earnings call: people are massively underestimating what this network can become. He’s talking majority of the world’s connectivity in less than a decade once AI and robots start eating bandwidth for breakfast. SpaceX keeps launching, Starlink keeps growing, but this could be the asset that outruns everything else. Source: SpaceX / Writer: Val

How Elon Musk used industry cross-pollination to fast-track American innovation and solve the hardest problems 🇺🇸 "It’s been quite difficult to run SpaceX and Tesla, but there have been good ideas" Tesla got aerospace engineering: "With respect to the car, the Model S is the only all-aluminum body... In the aerospace industry, that’s the default" SpaceX got auto manufacturing: "What’s helped SpaceX has been that the car industry is really good at making complicated objects at a low cost. It’s actually quite incredible that one can buy a decent car for $20,000"

🇺🇸 Nobody commissioned this... A French foundry spent its own money, cast a 50-foot Prometheus in bronze, shipped him to Texas, and is raising him at the edge of Starbase. Torch up, with rockets behind him. They said France once sent America the Statue of Liberty, and this is the same instinct, now pointed at the people trying to leave Earth. SpaceX / Writer: Val

Elon Musk just became become the world’s first trillionaire. SpaceX started in a warehouse from nothing. The company almost went bankrupt. Critics said reusable rockets were impossible. And yet, they just opened with the largest IPO ever. Elon proved everyone wrong. Only in America is this possible 🇺🇸

Gavin on SpaceX’s compute ambitions: “A Substack writer, FUNDA, thinks that SpaceX is going to bring on eight gigawatts of compute over the next 18 months. I will never bet against Elon. But I mean, that would be a truly incredible feat. And rates have gone up since they signed those last contracts, not down.” “To this day, the only companies that have brought on more than 500 megawatts of power in a year are the hyperscalers, CoreWeave, Crusoe, and SpaceX. SpaceX has brought on the most, the fastest, at the lowest cost.”

Katherine Boyle says SpaceX’s legacy will be the thousands of companies that spawn from the school of Elon Musk: "What we've learned from the SpaceX story is that these kinds of companies can be built." "It is one of the most important companies in America. It's beloved by Americans across the country for what it's been able to achieve." "The legacy of SpaceX is going to be hundreds, if not thousands of companies—people who've gone to the school of Elon Musk, they've learned manufacturing and they've built companies, and built products in a way that they can take to new companies in manufacturing and defense, and drones and hypersonics—all of these other categories that SpaceX doesn't do." "We're incredibly excited about SpaceX. We're incredibly excited for what it's achieved for the American people and what it's going to lead to over the next 25 years." Katherine Boyle on FOX Business

SpaceX is one of the most dominant companies on the planet and their performance gap just keeps getting bigger. In 2025, SpaceX launched more mass to orbit than every other provider on Earth combined. MUCH MORE: every payload from China, Russia, Europe, and all American launchers wasn’t even a fifth of what SpaceX put into orbit. They’re the only company producing rockets at an industrial scale. The practices that made SpaceX dominant aren’t unique to rockets. They’re a blueprint for building anything hard. This episode — and the essay it is based on — explores How SpaceX Works:
