🚨🚨WOW🚨🚨 THIS IS THE ACTUAL STADIUM CLOCK DURING THE CONTROVERSIAL MICHIGAN PLAY. The ball is STILL IN THE AIR as the clock runs all the way down to 0:00. 😳😳😳 That makes the decision to put one second back on the clock even more controversial.

It appears 1 second will be put on the clock. Kenny is not happy. The field must be cleared.

The only human element of error I could understand with officials putting the second back on the clock between Michigan and Western Michigan. They looked at this feed and saw the shadow of the ball crossing the lower left elbow of the goal post and ruled it touched the goal post.

Since we’re all obsessed with clock protocol and every single second, what’s supposed to happen after a first down in the final two minutes of a half? Should Michigan appeal for the nearly two seconds that came off the “official” clock after JJ Buchanan's first down? Because if the clock stops when it’s supposed to, there’s no end-of-game controversy in the first place... right? Should we go through the entire game tape and account for every missed second/missed call and issue appeals? I actually respected the way Western Michigan and the MAC handled the brutal loss afterward. They heard the Big Ten’s explanation, accepted it, released their statements and said they were moving on. Then, two days later, apparently that explanation is no longer good enough, and now they want the NCAA and College Football Playoff to recognize WMU as the winner? That’s an incredibly soft move. Yes, Michigan got one second put back on the clock. And guess what? Both teams lined up and played it. Michigan had to attempt a 60-yard Hail Mary. Western Michigan had to defend it. Michigan made the play. Western Michigan didn’t. If that ball hits the ground, nobody is still talking about this. The ONLY reason that second has become a national controversy is because Michigan actually converted it.

BYU legend Steve Young (white hat) was perhaps the first fan to storm the field after CJ Carr’s pass to Jaden Great house landed incomplete. Of course, now we know the officials should’ve put one second back on the clock.

Western Michigan got absolutely ROBBED. There was literally no time left on the clock when the football came down. Refs bailed Michigan out.

Jaguars gettin’ some calls here… Rodriguez fumbles at the goal line, may have been recovered by the Eagles… now time expired or it didn’t? Refs put 1 second back on for Jags

Another really cool thing the officials did last night. 1) This is a block on Brunson. No call 2)Clock stops under 2 MIN on made basket (clock didn’t stop) 3)Ref casually picks up the ball & wastes another 5 sec, doesn’t realize clock is running In total- 11 seconds wasted
